For the Love of Bees is excited to be collaborating with Live Lightly, Ellen Melville Centre and Lily Hirsch to bring you Films for the Future - A Hopeful Film Series.

This series offers  a movie experience partnered with the chance to meet a local hero working on a real project in your town. You will learn a real skill on the night that you can take away and implement immediately.

Bring a jumper just in case it gets a bit chilly. Some of the seats can feel a bit firm after a while, so you're welcome to bring a cushion.

Kids Learn 2 Ride - Forrest Hill

Greville Reserve, Forrest Hill Rd, Forrest Hill

Auckland Transport's team of qualified instructors work alongside parents to get kids riding. Whether starting on a balance bike or making the transition to pedals the team is there to help.

If your child doesn't yet have a bike but is keen to give it a go, there will be bikes available on a limited basis. Sessions are weather dependent and run on a drop in basis.

Urban Bike Skills Workshops

Auckland Transport's Urban Bike Skills course is an introduction to riding safely in the suburbs for adults.

We have planned a four hour course, starting in school grounds where you can practice some basic skills before heading out to explore the local area by bike. You'll learn how to choose safe routes, bike handling skills and communicating with other road/path users. By the end of the session you'll have skills that will help you anywhere you ride in urban Auckland.

Course numbers are very limited.
Free to attend but registration required
