How will you start the conversation?

Something you can do to make a difference is by starting a conversation on what you’re doing or what you know, to get others thinking and talking about their lifestyle choices too.

You could start by sharing with your friends, work mates, family and neighbours what you are already doing to live lightly. Share what you have found easy and what has been more challenging. What is now part of your everyday routine and which one-off changes have saved you money or made you feel healthier?

If people in your life want to know how they can make a difference, then invite them to visit us online or share our Facebook page with them.

Consider joining a community to take local action. Or you could use your voice to contact your local Auckland Councillor or Member of Parliament and ask them what they’re doing to prioritise climate change action or ask them to do more.

Host a Movie

Good ones for starting the conversation are “that waste cooking movie” and “a movie called tomorrow” both uplifting and filled with practical ideas (available from Council to borrow or download).
