Competition Terms & Conditions

By taking part in Auckland Council's 'Try something new' competition, you are entering the competition and are agreeing to these terms and conditions:

  • The competition is for Auckland Council staff only via the Ubiquity platform provided
  • One entry per staff member
  • The competition runs from Monday 18 November until 4pm Monday 2 December 2019. All photos need to be submitted by this time to be considered for voting the following day
  • Voting runs from Tuesday 3 December to Friday 6 December 2019 via the Ubiquity platform provided
  • Staff cannot vote for their own photo
  • The photo must show the action being taken during the competition period (not done previously)
  • The action must be done by the staff member who is submitting the entry, but can also involve friends and family
  • The five photos that receive the most votes win. If there is a draw, the Low Carbon Team will select winners at random among those who have drawn
  • By submitting an entry you agree that the photo will be visible to other Auckland Council staff members and displayed on the voting platform
  • The five winners can select one prize that is on offer: Recycled Boutique voucher, Plant Barn voucher, meat-free BBQ pack, ASB Classic pass or family pass to the zoo. Prizes are to the value of $40 each. Winners choosing the ASB Classic pass can choose to have tickets to a live game depending on availability and cost, or ground passes where you can watch the game on a big screen among food and drink vendors 
  • If the FutureFit prize winner is also a competition winner they can choose which prize they would like, and the FutureFit winner will be redrawn
  • The five winning staff members will be announced, along with the one winner of the FutureFit spot prize, on Monday 9 December
  • The Low Carbon Team will contact all winners individually on Monday 9 December to discuss prize selection and delivery
  • If the winner isn't able to collect their prize in December it will be postponed until January 
  • If winner has not claimed their prize by 31st January 2020, a new winner will be drawn 
  • The Low Carbon Team's decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into
  • All members of the Low Carbon Team including Danielle Kennedy, Jane James, Makenzie Hirz and Sophie Heighway are not eligible to win prizes but can submit entries
  • Auckland Council is not responsible for any incidents that occur as a result of the awarded prize
